  1.       The RAR Archiver
  2.       EULA (End User License Agreement) for use and distribution
  3.  
  4.  
  5.       The RAR archiver is distributed as try before you buy. This means:
  6.  
  7.    1. All copyrights to RAR are exclusively owned by the author
  8.       - Alexander Roshal.
  9.  
  10.    2. Anyone may use this software during a test period of 40 days.
  11.       Following this test period of 40 days or less, if you wish to
  12.       continue to use RAR, you must purchase a license.
  13.  
  14.    3. There are 2 basic types of licenses issued for RAR, these are:
  15.  
  16.       a.  A single computer usage license. The user purchases one license
  17.           to use RAR archiver on one computer.
  18.  
  19.           Home users may use their single computer usage license on
  20.           all computers which are in property of the license owner.
  21.  
  22.           Business users require one license per computer RAR is
  23.           installed on.
  24.  
  25.       b.  A multiple usage license. The user purchases a number of usage
  26.           licenses for use, by the purchaser or the purchaser's employees
  27.           on the same number of computers.
  28.  
  29.           In a network (server/client) environment you must purchase
  30.           a license copy for each separate client (workstation)
  31.           on which RAR is installed, used, or accessed. A separate
  32.           license copy for each client (workstation) is needed regardless
  33.           of whether the clients (workstations) will use RAR simultaneously
  34.           or at different times. If for example you wish to have
  35.           9 different clients (workstations) in your network with access
  36.           to RAR, you must purchase 9 license copies.
  37.  
  38.       A user who purchased a RAR license, is granted a non-exclusive
  39.       right to use RAR on as many computers as defined by the licensing
  40.       terms above according to the number of licenses purchased,
  41.       for any legal purpose. The licensed RAR software may not be rented
  42.       or leased, but may be permanently transferred, in it's entirety,
  43.       if the person receiving it agrees to the terms of this license.
  44.       If the software is an update, the transfer must include the update
  45.       and all previous versions.

  47.    4. Licensing for RAR on mobile devices (U3 stick, USB stick,
  48.       external harddrive):
  49.  
  50.       In addition to the terms stated above following licensing terms
  51.       apply to the licensing of RAR on mobile devices.
  52.  
  53.       a.  A single computer usage license. Home users may use their
  54.           single computer usage license on all mobile devices which are
  55.           in property of the license owner.
  56.  
  57.           Business users may use their single computer usage license
  58.           on one computer and one mobile device.
  59.  
  60.       b.  A multiple usage license. Users who own a multiple usage
  61.           license may use that license on the same number of mobile
  62.           devices as number of computers (clients) the license was
  63.           purchased for.
  64.  
  65.           The number of computers/devices running RAR at any time is
  66.           limited to the number of licenses purchased according to the
  67.           licensing terms above.
  68.  
  69.       A licensed version of RAR on a mobile device may be used by
  70.       the purchaser or the purchaser's employees, on several computers
  71.       consecutively.
  72.  
  73.       There are no additional license fees, apart from the cost of
  74.       purchasing a license, associated with the use of RAR from
  75.       a mobile device on computers that are not owned by the owner
  76.       of the RAR license.
  77.  
  78.    5. The RAR/WinRAR unlicensed trial version may be freely distributed,
  79.       with exceptions noted below, provided the distribution package is not
  80.       modified in any way.
  81.       
  82.       a.  No person or company may distribute separate parts of the package
  83.           with the exception of the UnRAR components, without written
  84.           permission of the copyright owner.
  85.       
  86.       b.  The RAR/WinRAR unlicensed trial version may not be distributed
  87.           inside of any other software package without written permission
  88.           of the copyright owner.
  89.  
  90.       c.  Hacks/cracks, keys or key generators may not be included on the
  91.           same distribution.

  95.    7. THE RAR ARCHIVER IS DISTRIBUTED "AS IS". NO WARRANTY OF ANY
  96.       KIND IS EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. YOU USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
  97.       NEITHER THE AUTHOR NOR THE AGENTS OF THE AUTHOR WILL BE LIABLE 
  98.       FOR DATA LOSS, DAMAGES, LOSS OF PROFITS OR ANY OTHER KIND OF LOSS
  99.       WHILE USING OR MISUSING THIS SOFTWARE.

  101.    8. There are no additional license fees, apart from the cost of
  102.       purchasing a license, associated with the creation and distribution
  103.       of RAR archives, volumes, self-extracting archives or self-extracting
  104.       volumes. Legally registered owners may use their copies of RAR/WinRAR
  105.       to produce archives and self-extracting archives and to distribute
  106.       those archives free of any additional RAR royalties.
  107.  
  108.    9. You may not use, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  109.       decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer
  110.       the licensed program, or any subset of the licensed program, except
  111.       as provided for in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use shall
  112.       result in immediate and automatic termination of this license and
  113.       may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution.
  114.  
  115.       Neither RAR binary code, WinRAR binary code, UnRAR source or UnRAR
  116.       binary code may be used or reverse engineered to re-create the RAR
  117.       compression algorithm, which is proprietary, without written
  118.       permission of the author.
  119.  
  120.       RAR and WinRAR keyfiles may not be distributed, except as stated
  121.       in item 3) above, outside of the area of legal control of the
  122.       person or persons who purchased the original license, without
  123.       written permission of the copyright holder.

  125.       All rights not expressly granted here are reserved by Alexander Roshal.
  126.  
  127.   10. Installing and using RAR/WinRAR signifies acceptance of these terms
  128.       and conditions of the license.
  129.  
  130.   11. If you do not agree with the terms of this license you must
  131.       remove RAR/WinRAR files from your storage devices and cease to
  132.       use the product.
  133.
